Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind

Greg Allen; Directed by Andrea Grinwis & Lindsay Franklin

Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind (30 Plays in 60 Minutes) is, on its surface, an “ever-changing attempt to perform 30 Plays in 60 minutes” but, at its core, this “ensemble experiment” creates a shared experience between the audience and the performers, resulting in an evening of breathless, hilarious, collaborative chaos. Audience members can dive into the action head first, calling out show numbers in an attempt to get all 30 plays in before the 60-minute timer buzzes. Those who prefer not to blur the line between actors and audience can sit back and enjoy watching the action unfold around them. Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind is Chicago’s longest running stage show, and audiences line up to be part of the experience… because no two performances are ever the same.
