Relaxed Performances

The Barley Sheaf Players offer Relaxed Performances, providing a welcoming environment that allows everyone in our community to enjoy live theater without judgment or inhibition. Relaxed Performances invite and encourage individuals with Autism, ADHD, Dementia, sensitivities, physical limitations, and other neurodivergent functions to enjoy the theater experience while welcoming and accommodating their unique needs. The whole community is invited to join these performances as they are fully inclusive. Relaxed Performances will take place on a Sunday matinée of each production.

If you have auditory or visual impairments, please contact us at least one week prior to attending so we can discuss how we can best support your experience. Please call the box office and leave a message, or email membership@barleysheaf.org.

New collaboration

Barley Sheaf Players is thrilled to announce a new collaboration with SIGNINterpreting Services, providing a show in American Sign Language as part of our ongoing efforts to make our productions more accessible and welcoming to all. This partnership begins with an ASL-interpreted relaxed performance of The Full Monty on March 15, 2026, at 2 pm. This marks an exciting step forward in expanding accessibility options at our theater.

This work aligns with our mission as a community theater: we truly believe that theater is for everyone, and we are committed to reducing barriers so more people can share in the experience of live performance.

Stay tuned for more details soon about our upcoming 2025–26 season and how this collaboration with SIGNINterpreting Services. will continue to grow, including additional ASL-interpreted relaxed performances and other accessibility initiatives.
