In the Quiet
Benefit Show 2016
Original work by Andrea Grinwis; Directed by Andrea Grinwis
The inhabitants of a small, rural town learn that what lies tucked away in the quiet of an ordinary evening is more powerful than fear, or doubt, or regret. Eight short vignettes interweave neighbors, relatives, and friends as they face fears, struggle against despair, and stumble upon joy over the course of a single winter's night.
Rated PG-13: Contains some adult themes and language.

Benefit Recipient
Proceeds from the show will assist the young family of Barley Sheaf member,
Scott Ryan, who passed away on December 13, 2015 from aggressive stage IV Melanoma. Scott was a dad, a husband, a brother, and a son. At Barley Sheaf he was an actor, director, and served on our board in a couple of positions including the Public Relations Chair. His immediate family includes his beautiful wife, Rachel, a clever 5 year old daughter, Lily, and an adorable 1-year old son, Artie. He touched many lives and has a large circle of extended family, friends, and theater colleagues who will miss him tremendously. Although we can do nothing to bring our friend back, we are hoping we can support his family during what will be difficult days, weeks, and months ahead.
For more information about Scott's journey you can
visit Scott's CaringBridge site. Please be aware that donations on the CaringBridge site support the site and not the family directly.
Donations
Other than attending our benefit show and donating through the theater, the best way to make donations to the family is at the fundraising website set up by Scott's family.
