Benefit Show 2012
by Jane Martin; Directed by Andrea Grinwis
Vital Signs is a portrait of contemporary woman in all her distinct, eccentric, and exquisite forms. The show presents us with a quick snapshot of over twenty women, with stories ranging from the humorous to the compelling, from the tragic to the down-right ridiculous. The play is composed entirely of monologues, and each one presents the audience with a completely different character. Meet the woman who believes she was impregnated by Spiderman, the trick shot artist, the battered woman unwilling to withstand her abuse, and the woman who’s said “I love you” and meant it, for the first time.
