J.B.
By Archibald MacLeish; Directed by Candace Upton
A modern adaptation of the Book of Job, J.B. is a successful and wealthy family man who loses everything. He is cruelly tested by God, the Devil (as portrayed by two former NYC bohemian actors turned unemployed Wall Street Bankers in this play within a play) and the many characters whose own paths cross his. In the end, it is his ability to accept the injustice of life and devote himself to God that allows he and his wife to start over in this Pulitzer Prize winning play.
NOTE: This show contains inferred violence and talk of death, and may not be suitable for all pre-teens.
